Oh hey!! Lookie there....we're still alive. Oh, its true. Alive. You wouldn't know it, unless you keep up with us on Facebook :p Because I....am a horrible blogger. :p
Since I last blogged, I had surgery. See, right after my last blog post, I started showing all the classic signs of pregnancy. Fatigue, achy parts, hot flashes, morning sickiness (of sorts) and missing cycles (those are sporadic, at best)...all that fun stuff. It was weird, and all tests came back negative. I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor. Turns out, I had a large cyst on my right ovary. Very large....like, softball sized, large. Doctor decided the best course of action would be to remove it. So on May 12, I had my first surgery, ever. I had three incisions, one in my belly button, and two at my bikini line. The whole procedure was done laparascopically (wow-that's butchered...and spell check can't even figure out what I'm attempting to say :p) so my incisions are very small. He removed it all successfully, and now I'm on medication to regulate my system. We figure I'll stay on the medication for 6 months, and then go off of it to see if my body keeps up. If it does, we'll try for a baby. If it doesn't....well, we'll explore other options. :)
Clint and I both managed to injure our right feet. Yep, we're awesome like that. He ran over his at work one night while pulling a large pallet of dog food. The pallet was taller than he is, and was full of 50 lb. bags of dog food. He caught his heel with it. Managed to break his heel. Oh, and he has Achilles tendonitis. So he is in a large black boot for 6-8 weeks. I....don't have a cool story for mine. I was literally just walking. I have a stress fracture in my right arch. Because of its location, I am also in a large black boot, for 6-12 weeks. People think its "so cute!" that we're both in a boot on the same foot. Its funny, that's for sure! Our podiatrist says he's never seen such a thing in his entire 31 years of practice. :p
We went to Big Lake with his family the last week in June, like we always do. It was a blast, as always. We're going to try to go back up in August, for a long weekend :) and in September, we're going to California to visit my mom and brother. I haven't been to Yosemite National Park in years, and I miss it. Clint's never been, and I'm excited to show him around. We're really looking forward to it... :)
That's about it. See....3 months without blogging....and I have really, nothing interesting to say :p

Engagement/Anniversary Pictures
Clint's cousin, Marshall, met a cute girl, Kayla, a couple years ago. In February of 2009, they eloped. They're having a reception this April to celebrate with everyone, and they asked me to take some engagement/anniversary pictures for them. Here's just a few. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out :) I think they were too, because I'm also taking their formal wedding pictures. :)
P.S. I love comments. Constructive criticism is great. I'm trying to build a portfolio of sorts, because I'd love to start a business in a few years after I've had more training :)

Picture Day
Today, I took pictures of my nephews and neice. This post showcases Kyle and Mackenzie. They are Courtney's and Aaron's kids. (Courtney is Clint's older sister). The "photoshoot" was...interesting. We had a lot of fun. The kids weren't so into it, at first. We promised we'd take them to the park if they'd just say "cheese!!" I got a few decent shots near the water, but struck gold at the park. I just followed the kids around while they played, begging they say "cheese!" and blow kisses to mommy before they would slide down the slide. Kyle actually got really into it, and started demanding I take his picture towards the end of our shoot :) Enjoy the pictures...its only a few. I ended up taking 242(!) pictures! I ended up with about 60 really good ones.
We begged, and begged, and finally bribed to get this picture. Its not perfect, but I really like it :)
She's such a pretty girl. That smile says "I'm up to no good". She's a doll :)
My handsome boy! Kyle is getting so big! When I first started dating Clint, Kyle was almost 6 months old. He'll be 5 this year. Time needs to slow down.
I've been using my friends and family as guinea pigs, while I develop my "talent". I'd love to make photography a business one day. I'm slowly building some sort of portfolio. I've also been considering taking a class or two at the local community college. Nothing I'd be doing anytime soon, but its a possibility for the future :)

More Pictures....
Have I mentioned lately that I love my camera?? Because I LOVE my camera. I got some great pictures at the hospital yesterday. Then I had a lot of fun editing them. This little guy is going to get sick of my constantly sticking a camera in his face. But, these are the moments we'll want to remember forever. So, deal with it :p I love taking pictures, and I'm so excited to take his "newborn" photos in a couple weeks. I'm also so excited to take pictures of my other neice and nephew (Mackenzie and Kyle)...which WILL happen sooner than later, Courtney! I haven't forgotten!! :) At any rate....here are some more fun pics of Slade :)
